What I'm Wearing: Purple People Eater

Hello lovelies! Are you all getting sick of my hosiery collection yet? I feel like I live in tights/leggings in the winter. Wearing dress pants gets boring to me and I feel like I have more options with skirts/dresses and fun hosiery. Do you have something you have an extensive collection of? My other two ridiculous collections are shoes and belts. I don't even want to know how many I have. I might be embarrassed by it.

So, in some of these photos my tank and tights look bluish, but I swear they are purple. I haven't wore a lot of purple this winter and I feel that is a shame. It is such a beautiful color and a great alternative to black or navy! I paired a colorful mini skirt with a basic tank, flowy sweater, flower embellished belt, purple tights, a simple necklace and suede boots.

What I'm Wearing: Pretty Pleats

Hello darlings! I hope you are all having a fabulous day! The sun was out today and it was glorious. I am pretty in love with these thick black polka dot tights. I don't feel like I have wore them nearly enough, but I like you guys to think I am sanitary so I will refrain from wearing them daily. Glad we cleared that up.

One of the best discoveries of my life (ok, that might be a slight exaggeration) is that you can wear a top, sweater or jacket over a dress and totally transform it. I got this darling dress at Nordstrom for a decent price back in November. Today I decided to put a see through knit sweater over it so it looks like I am just wearing a pleated mini-skirt. I really love the way this looks. I accessorized with a cool belt, necklace and adorable shoes. I am quite smitten with this outfit, if I could wear an outfit like this every day, I totally would.
Check out this pose. You know you're impressed.

What I'm Wearing: Nervous Nellie

Well guys, I finally got up the courage to wear the Hermès scarf that I thrifted (see this post for more details) for $2 at Salvation Army. I have been so nervous to wear this scarf because of it's value - I am not used to wearing expensive things. Being that I am such a huge klutz, I was so sure that I was going to spill something on it, but I am proud to say that I made it!

The next hurdle was to figure out just how to wear the scarf. The scarf is large and square and I looked like a hot mess trying to style it. Kind of like a fish out of water - flopping all about. I styled it a few different ways throughout the day. I think I like it free hanging the most. What do you all think?

I'm kind of a hot mess today - so ignore my crazy hair and bad pictures.

What I'm Wearing: Pandora Love Child

What's shakin' lovely people? Hope you are all having a wonderful day. My day went super fast so I can't complain. I feel so cliche' talking about the weather but it has been gorgeous here. I cant even believe this is our winter and I feel super fortunate. Are you having a fantastic winter too?

So, let's talk about these tights. I've had these tights since November when I pulled them out of a clearance bin. This is my first time wearing them because they aren't exactly the most normal thing I own and that is saying something. I think they look like the love child of a tiger and the Na'vi from the movie Avatar. What do you think?

Don't mind the weird shadowing. I blame the photographer (yes, that would be me).

What I'm Wearing: Putting it In Neutral

Greetings, beautiful friends.  Hope you all have been having a wonderful weekend. I got in some retail therapy yesterday and ended up with four pairs of shoes, 2 dresses, 2 tops, a skirt, handbag, belt and a watch. A pretty successful day in my opinion. The skirt and handbag in these photos were purchased yesterday. How do you like them?

I really love these lace tights, they add such a dimension to an outfit. The back of this outfit is actually more interesting than the front. I love outfits that have a surprise element to the back. The vest is all lace in the back and the skirt has a wide vertical line. I added a simple necklace and bow bracelet as accessories.

What I'm Wearing: Ombre Girl

During a discussion with my blogging buddy Bessie (check out her blog here), on Twitter about consignment store shopping, this particular skirt came up as one of the name brand finds I've got at a good price. I found this Michael Kors skirt at a consignment shop quite some time ago for $14 with the tags still on it. The conversation rekindled my love for this skirt and I busted it back out after a long hiatus.

I decided to wear this skirt with a lighter pink top and eggplant colored tights to create a sort of  ombre look. I think these colors all work really well together and make up a chic and girly look. My favorite thing about this? I am wearing sunglasses and no coat. It has been so wonderful here lately. I cannot even believe this has been our winter so far!

What I'm Wearing: Granny Chic

Well ladies and gentleman - I am outside my comfort zone today. It isn't often you will see me in clothes that are not tailored closer to my body. A maxi skirt with a poncho is asking a lot of me. I know you might be giggling - but it really is. I was super comfy all day though which makes me think I should dress like this more often.

My boss told me I look like a "little old granny" which was super nice - exactly what I was going for (not). Do I look like a granny to you? Apparently I didn't look like a grandma to some dudes at the grocery store who smiled as they passed by and one even said "You're pretty." Thanks, random dude. Do you guys ever have those awkward encounters?

Anyway, on to the outfit. I love this jade green maxi skirt. It is super comfy and the color is gorgeous. I picked up this terracotta colored poncho at the Goodwill and this is the first time I've pulled it out to wear it. I paired it with a basic long sleeve t-shirt, cognac boots and my favorite necklace of the moment - this green three-stone beauty.
