Hello Lovelies! I have decided to begin a new series focusing on how to get celebrity (and other fashionista's) looks for less. If you're anything like me, you scan the pages of fashion magazines, half-drooling over what the celebrities and models are wearing while cringing at the price tags. We may not be able to purchase the labels celebrities do, but we can wear similar pieces that look just as fabulous for a fraction of the cost.
I am a huge fan of Rachel Bilson's style and have rarely seen her in anything I don't like. In the photo above, she takes a fashion risk by mixing floral and leopard prints. Mixing prints can be tricky, but I think she does it to perfection here by just having the pop of leopard in her shoes. Her look is from the Erdem 2012 Resort Label. I do not know the exact price of her pieces, but based on the cost of other items in the Erdem line, I would say this outfit retails for north of $2,000.
I have put together two looks inspired by Miss Bilson's outfit: An outfit comprised of pieces I already had in my closet and a look that you can purchase for a fraction of the cost of Rachel's.
I did not have a floral button down top, so I had to settle for a floral camisole with a black cardigan over it I then paired them with red pants, leopard wedges and a simple croc-embossed clutch.
It's not identical to Rachel's, but it has the same effect.
Cardigan and Clutch: Forever 21
Red Pants: Express
Camisole: K-Mart
Leopard Wedges: Jessica Simpson via TJ Maxx
That is likely 5% of what her Erdem Resort outfit cost!
Click on the image below for price and retailer information for each item.
How do you like this look?
A+ work here, Kassi. I can recreate the look when the snow melts. My red pants are cropped! I'll be looking forward to more in this series!
