What I'm Wearing: Wet and Not So Wild

Hello lovelies! I hope you all made it through your Monday relatively unscathed. Mine was fine although I must say children really test my patience at my job. I find myself needing to take a time out just so I don't lose my cool over the kids who throw things everywhere, or paint with nail polish leaving a path of destruction in their wake. End rant.

I just went with a very comfortable and casual look today. Nothing special although I do really love the colors in this top. I found these jeans in my closet today. I didn't even remember I had them. So that was exciting. I think next time I wear them I will be wearing a top that balances them better. I can't help but think my hips and thighs are looking a bit hefty in this outfit. Maybe it's just me and it's just one of those days though.

What I'm Wearing: Boy Meets Girl

Happy Hump Day! I hope you all are getting through your work week with little to complain about. I am so ready for some extra warm weather and the lake. Summertime is beckoning to me, but it seems she will be waiting a little longer to visit. C'est la vie.

Today I decided to mesh a bit of masculinity with feminine touches. I wore a gray vest and boyfriend jeans (the masculine) and combined it with a lace embellished top and soft feminine waves. I was unsure of this look at first, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. It's simple yet still makes a statement.

What I'm Wearing: Springing into Shorts

Hello all! How are you lovelies doing? I've been missing you all a lot. I've had a hard time adjusting to a new inconsistent schedule and feel quite unproductive on the whole because of it. It's worth it though, I am loving my job and additionally will soon be doing a fashion blog for my local paper. So that is exciting. :)

It has been so windy the last few days, like I swear I saw the wicked witch flying on her broom. Yeesh. Can't someone tell the wind it's buzz killing my good hair days. Anyway, I worked this evening so I chose something I would be warm enough in and still comfortable enough to be on my feet. These colors are a bit heavy and a little winter-y, but I don't think you will ever get me to stop wearing gray and black at all times of the year. At least I tempered it with a cobalt cardigan, right?

What I'm Wearing: Classic With a Twist

Do you ever just wake up on the wrong side of the bed? That was me this morning. Grouchy from the get-go. This doesn't happen to me often, but when it does, it is so hard to fight the evil inside. I tried so hard to be happy and upbeat, but it didn't work so well. At least there is tomorrow, and hopefully I will find the right side of the bed when I wake up. :)

For my outfit today, I went with a classic striped tank, layered with a navy camisole underneath, and topped with a camel blazer. Classic, right? Then come the bright red pants. I have a serious love affair with colored pants. I am not sure I will be over it any time soon. Anyone else loving colorful pants this season?

What I'm Wearing: Pink in Bermuda

Hello Pretties! How are we doing today? I felt like breaking out a pair of shorts today. I kinda had to dig to find a pair. It's not warm enough for shorter shorts yet, so I grabbed these versatile black Bermuda shorts to do the trick. In truth, they are probably capris on a woman of normal height, but they are a perfect Bermuda length for me.

I decided to pair the black shorts with a black sequined tank, a beautiful pink cardigan, pink ballet flats and a fun, sparkly necklace. I realize this outfit is nothing to write home about, but it served perfectly for work and getting groceries. I am happy to report that I only knocked one thing off of the shelf at the store today - that has to be some kind of new record for me.

What I'm Wearing: Country Bumpkin

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor. Won't you be mine? Mr. Rogers, anyone? That was my brother's favorite TV show when we were kids and for the life of me I do not know why a show with freaky puppets was ever popular. It's all a bit creepy to me. So there's that random subject for the day.

It's tax day, and I scrambled to get all of my taxes typed up and shipped off with all the checks attached to them. Blah, I hate taxes, but I am so glad to be done with them for the year.  I pulled out a dress that hasn't seen the light of day in a long time. I love it, but it's a bit too short without something underneath of it (at least for me). I paired it with some blue tights , a flower necklace, cowboy boots and a side braid. Cute and country.

What I'm Wearing: So Fresh and So Green, Green

Hello gorgeous people! I hope you've all had a fantastic day. I know I have. I worked earlier today and went to Zumba class in the evening. I am seriously considering getting to be a Zumba instructor. The only drawback? My awkwardness. I am not sure I can ever undo that one.

I wanted to wear something cute yet comfortable to work today. So I opted for a black-trimmed white sheer blouse with a bright green skirt. I accessorized with a striped wide belt, striped ballet flats and a black statement necklace. I rather like this look, do you?

What I'm Wearing: Human Easter Egg

 

Happy Easter, Everyone! I hope you all had a lovely day and enjoyed time with family and friends! I have had a terrific weekend. I spent Friday night with my sister-in-law and her family. I adore my two sweet nieces and adorable nephew, so it was great to see them. I spent Saturday hanging out and shopping all day with my mom. That is always a good time and I found some fantastic stuff. Today we went to church and then to a good family friend's home for Easter lunch along with my parents and brother. It was a fantastic meal and she even made vegetarian lasagna for my husband and I.

On to my outfit. I decided to wear fun colors and print today to emulate an Easter egg. I found these pants on my shopping trip yesterday at New York & Company when they were having 50% off everything in the store. I am in love with the color and skinnier fit. I actually bought this polka dot top a month or so ago and this is the first time I broke it out. I love the color and bow front so much. With all the color in the outfit I decided on nude heels as my only accessory.

What I'm Wearing: Well, I Do Declare

 

Ok, so this outfit totally makes me feel like a Southern Belle. I feel like I should be sitting on a patio, drinking sweet tea, fanning myself and saying things like "I do declare" and "Bless her pea-picking heart." The pearls really add to that whole effect. But that's okay, I love the south and the spirit of classic ladies. 

When I saw this dress at Maurices (I am constantly going to have to hide my wallet from myself working there, you guys), I was so in love with the vibrant lemon zest color and cute lace detail at the bottom. Then I tried it on and knew I had to have it. I paired it with a multi-strand pearl necklace, a funky tulle headband and some flats, since I was working and heels don't cut it when you have to stand so much.

What I'm Wearing: A Leopard at Sea

Hello fancy folks! I hope you are all doing fabulously! The title of this post comes from the fact that I am wearing a navy and white striped tank which instantly makes me think nautical. So that topped with a leopard infinity scarf obviously equals a leopard at sea. Duh, right? Simple math.

So... I am a super awkward person. Just in case you hadn't figured that one out already. I was trying out what were supposed to be some "cute poses" today and the camera never caught me at the right time, turning out a few awkward photos. I have included a couple at the bottom of this post as everyone on facebook wanted to see them.

What I'm Wearing: Charcoal & Pink

Hello! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I did. It was pretty relaxing and I wrapped it up with an afternoon working at Maurices. I am really enjoying my new job still and I appreciate all of your well wishes. Since I am on my feet all day, I've been trying to find more cute flats to wear so my feet aren't screaming at me. I love anything that sparkles, so naturally I fell in love with these sequined flats the moment I laid eyes on them.

I am not gonna write much today because my mind is too busy being excited about the season premiere of Game of Thrones. Hooray!
