What I'm Wearing: Prep Academy

Hello, gorgeous! Hope you are all doing well! Fall has arrived in a big way. The leaves have changed, the chill has crept in and I've even had to scrape ice off of my car once already. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Fashionistas have to love it because we can pretty much bust out a whole new wardrobe. It's also a time where I am forced to face the fact that I have a ridiculous amount of boots and a tights collection that spans the rainbow plus about 10 other shades. Sad thing is I am already taking mental notes of what colors I do not have and need to get. I have a problem.

So apparently with this outfit, I was feeling the need to channel my inner school girl. I bought this skirt recently for like $5 from Aeropostale. How could I say no? The colors are great and it's pleated. Not sure how I was exactly going to wear it for fall I brought it home and saw this cardigan hanging in my closet. It was meant to be,. The pocket detailing matches almost exactly. I paired it with patterned tights and Mary-Jane heels.

What I'm Wearing: A T-shirt and Leather

Hi everyone! Fall has arrived in a big way. Like brrrrr.  I unwisely left the house like this with no jacket and was freezing. My car's heat got cranked for the first time this season. Anyway, I went on a little shopping trip with my mom yesterday and actually bought what seems like a minimum amount of things in comparison what I usually buy. This is okay. I need to do this more often. The most exciting part of the trip was my finding these faux leather pants! I have literally been searching for years for a pair of faux leather pants that A. Aren't so tight they look like leggings and B. Are passably long enough for my stilt legs. Enter these New York & Company pants. I saw them in the store and got super excited. New York and Company pants tend to fit my figure very well so I was instantly hopeful. I put them on and said "Yay, they actually look like pants!" It's the small victories, right?

The T-shirt was also a purchase from this shopping excursion. I love oversized tees...on other people. Not usually me. But this one seemed to strike the right balance of sloppy meets chic. Plus it has a fashionista emblazoned on it. What's not to like?

Pants: New York and Company, T-Shirt: Macy's, Necklace: Wild Iris, Shoes: Old

What do you all think of this look?

Have a fabulous day!

What I'm Wearing: Rocktober

Hello Dahhhlings! I am rather disappointed to see that it's been almost a month since I posted on here. Life certainly moves fast sometimes. It's October. Holy crap, where did the time go? This is one of my absolute favorite times of the year in Michigan. The leaves all turn beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow and every time I look out the window I feel like I am viewing an exquisite painting. My other part of fall? The food. Apple cider, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin bread, caramel apples and other delicious treats will me flooding my kitchen this time of year.

It's a beautiful 79 degree day here today, so naturally I had to rock the bare legs since it's not going to be able to happen for all that much longer. It's funny to me sometimes how an outfit that you are throwing together at the last minute seems to be one of the coolest you've wore in weeks. Maybe it's because it hasn't been overworked? I woke up this morning and needed to be to work by 8am. I am admittedly not a morning person and my creativity in outfit planning is usually pretty terrible anytime before 10am. However, I think this one turned out alright.

I grabbed this skirt (which seems to be a staple for me) and threw on a breezy sheet white top and topped it with a leather fringe vest. To hide the fact I was having a terrible hair day, I threw on this hat for damage control. The overall look is a little grunge chic, and I love it.

Have a great day, everyone!
