What I'm Wearing: Nervous Nellie

Well guys, I finally got up the courage to wear the Hermès scarf that I thrifted (see this post for more details) for $2 at Salvation Army. I have been so nervous to wear this scarf because of it's value - I am not used to wearing expensive things. Being that I am such a huge klutz, I was so sure that I was going to spill something on it, but I am proud to say that I made it!

The next hurdle was to figure out just how to wear the scarf. The scarf is large and square and I looked like a hot mess trying to style it. Kind of like a fish out of water - flopping all about. I styled it a few different ways throughout the day. I think I like it free hanging the most. What do you all think?
Shirt: My mom thrifted for me, Pants: Express, Belt: Le Dominique Consignment,
Shoes: Elder Beerman, Watch: Charming Charlie, Scarf: Hermès via Salvation Army

I'm kind of a hot mess today - so ignore my crazy hair and bad pictures.

What do you think of this look?

  4. Of course you pull this off amazing-ly. Those red trousers make your legs look miles long! (jealous). And I wish my hair looked like yours when it's "messy." My messy consists of a samurai bun with a way too long rat-tail. Cute, i know.

  10. Dear Nervous Nellie:

I know this fabulous blogger named Bessie from Bravoe Runway that would TOTALLY be happy to take this piece off your hands. After all if you are worried of ruining or spilling something on it this piece would just sit in your closet. I know she has a mild case of OCD so she would take awesome care of it! HAHA! LOVE what you did with the scarf Kassi and don't worry, it can be cleaned :) It looks great with the red pants and the blouse

  11. Haha, I think you styled this amazing scarf beautifully <3
Love how you paired it with hot red pants! You look gorgeous.
And I know, whenever I wear something that's valuable to me (like a scarf or nice jacket) I take it off when I'm eating. Just because I have this awful habit of spilling!

  35. I think you styled it great! I have a square scarf that I've worn a few times and I like to tie it in a bow! I know, sounds ridiculous. But it's a completely fun feminine way to show it off!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Your comments always make me giddy like a school girl on a sugar high. Leave your link so I can creep on you. The good kind of creeping. Not the kind where I hang your pictures in my room or anything. (awkward shuffle)

Fashionably yours,

Kassi
