Valentine's Day is approaching. Some of you may love the holiday, some of you may hate it. I am somewhere in the middle in a zone that I call "meh." It feels like a very forced holiday where guys sweat out getting their girl something that will keep them from being angry. At least that's how I see it. My husband and I usually have a very low key Valentine's Day which is more than fine with me. This year I am thinking a pasta dinner with a glass of wine in the comfort of our own home. Do you guys go all out for Valentine's Day?

We don't actually celebrate Valentine's Day. I could pretend that it's some big anti-corporate America protest, or that I have profound moral issues with the holiday, but alas, it isn't true. We just don't like the awkward crowds that accompany V-Day, and do our best to avoid them by spending our evenings the same way we always do -- in our pajamas, watching movies. =)

I like Valentine's Day... any excuse to dress up and eat a lot is good in my book :) I love the idea of staying in, on Saturday night we just bought some cheese, made pasta, and drank wine while playing board games. My husband and I are huge on ALL holidays and Valentine's Day is no exception as it is also our mid-year anniversary (we were married on August 14) so we do make a big deal, but it doesn't necessarily mean spending lots of money or going somewhere fancy. It just means that we make a point to spend time together. He's on a business trip this week, so we have a sushi and a movie date this weekend.
