What I'm Wearing: The Golden Rule

TGIF! I get to wear denim and other casual clothing on Fridays, so naturally, I take advantage. Even though I am a girly-girl and love skirts, dresses, bling, et cetera,  there is nothing like the comfort and understated elegance of a great fitting pair of jeans. If I could give you just one piece of advice for fall it's buy clothes in jewel tones. What are jewel tones? Well It's just as it sounds - get inspired by sapphire blues, ruby reds, amethyst purples, etc. I've said it before and I will say it again jewel tones look stunning on everyone no matter your skin tone.

This cardigan does most of the work in making this outfit pop and is a refreshing change from browns, blacks and grays that become popular in my cooler weather wardrobe. I've had this sleeveless top in the bottom of my drawer for quite some time and bullied myself into making it work in an outfit. I love the texture of it and the rich light brown color. I accessorized with one of my favorite statement necklaces and a pair of leopard print wedges and voila! We have a cute, casual outfit.
