What I'm Wearing: Sailing into the Sunset

Hello lovelies! Hope you are all having a fantastic day! I woke up this morning in desperate need of a mood boost. The skies have been gray and the air has turned frigid, but I told myself I would not be wearing any hint of gray or black today. I saw that beautiful sweater blazer gleaming in my closet and I knew just what I was going to do: go nautical. I used to be dead set against nautical anything because throughout my childhood my mom was forever picking out sailor gear for me and my brother to wear. Now that nautical can be done without looking like the boy from the Cracker Jack box , I am sold.  After all, what is there not to love about stripes, blue, red and saying things like "Ahoy, Matey?" I took it so far as to talk to my dog in a pirate-like voice telling her to "Go outside to potty, this ain't no poop deck" and "It will be the plank for ya. Arrrrrgh." Needless to say, she wasn't impressed.

The sweater blazer was the fantastic find of this outfit. I found it at the Goodwill with a $229 original price tag on it. Gorgeous, isn't it? I would say it is well worth the $3 I paid for it. I paired it with a pair of red pants ( without a doubt, my favorite dress pants), a striped tank, a vintage necklace and some python embossed pumps. The pumps got a little lost in my mushy yard, but not to worry there is a picture of  below so you can take a gander at them.

Aren't the gold buttons and crest sharp on this royal blue blazer? I think, yes.

Sweater Blazer: Goodwill, Striped Tank: Forever 21, Red Pants: Express, Shoes: Rampage via Elder Beerman, Vintage Necklace: Salvation Army, Bracelet: Target

Here is how you can get a similar look. All pieces are $50 and under.
