What I'm Wearing: 50s Housewife Meets Mod

Hello, I'm your average Stepford wife meets go-go dancer. I had so many random thoughts about this outfit as I was wearing today, I can't even think of them all at the moment. I almost talked myself into thinking this was not a cute outfit - but who am I kidding? I am totally working it. Though I did feel a bit like a Dallas Cheerleader with the flowy sleeves and the white boots. All I was missing was the rocking body and huge boobs.

See the picture below and tell me I am not dreaming that my sleeves and boots combo resembles that.
Anyhow, I love polka dots and was extremely happy to find that top at the Goodwill for three dollars. It pairs beautifully with the red skirt. I just added a simple pair of earrings as each piece I was wearing makes as statement of its own.
Polka Dot Top: Goodwill, Red Skirt: Clothes Mentor, Boots: Consignment, Earrings: Kohl's

Here is how you can get a similar look.

Is this a look you would wear?

  1. It's a nice spin on the classic red, black, and white! I really think the boots make the polka dots ever more fun and playful!!

  8. This is such a cute look! I love that you were able to use red, white, and blue without looking like an American flag! Thumbs up :)

Thank you so much for stopping by! Your comments always make me giddy like a school girl on a sugar high. Leave your link so I can creep on you. The good kind of creeping. Not the kind where I hang your pictures in my room or anything. (awkward shuffle)

Fashionably yours,
