What I'm Wearing: A Cobalt Career

Jewel tones have been back in a big way in recent years and for good reason. They look fabulous on everyone and always make a beautiful statement. One of my favorite jewel inspired colors is bright cobalt. It always catches my eye in stores, I can't explain it but I am consistently drawn to it. So when I was in New York & Company the other day I couldn't pass up this basic yet unique cobalt top. I realize this outfit isn't particularly mind-blowing but I wanted to show off one of my favorite colors to wear.

Top: New York & Company, Sunglasses: H&M, Necklace: The Wild Iris, Clutch: The Wild Iris, Watch: New York & Company, Skirt: New York & Company, Shoes: Calvin Klein via Von Maur

Below are some items that can help you rock cobalt blue.

2. Worthington Short Sleeve Cardigan - $9.99 from JC Penney
3. Snake Print Faux Leather Handbag - $16.99 from Fash Limited
4. Mossimo Sleeveless Top with Ruffles - $19.99 from Target

  3. I looove cobalt, I just featured a cobalt nail lacquer OPI Blue My Mind. I'm also loving your clutch!

To answer your question about a dark red, I'm not sure how dark you want to go but for an almost black red I like 'OPI Black Cherry Chutney'. For a more saturated true red 'Nicole by OPI I Love You Cherry Much' was just released. I can do posts on those if you would like to see them. I hope that helps :)

And thank you Lacquer Factor for the recommendations. :) I just haven't found the dark red I wanted yet!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Your comments always make me giddy like a school girl on a sugar high. Leave your link so I can creep on you. The good kind of creeping. Not the kind where I hang your pictures in my room or anything. (awkward shuffle)

Fashionably yours,
